Northbound Deerfoot Trail is closed near 16 Avenue in Calgary and there are major delays in the area.
The City posted an alert on X, formerly Twitter, just before 10 a.m. on March 18, warning of the closure for a traffic incident.
The northbound lanes are closed between Memorial Drive and 16 Avenue, and drivers are asked to avoid the area, the City of Calgary said.
