Okotoks artists will team up to showcase their work for an upcoming event.
The Calgary Artists Studio Tour will feature the work of artists from Calgary and surrounding area this weekend.
The four Okotoks artists taking part are Shirley Hauck, Tanya Zakarow and duo ARTrophy, made up of Neil and Tracy Bantleman.
"It's an opportunity for the public to come into an artist studio and have a personal interaction with them to see what they do, how they do it, and you can buy directly from the artist as well," said Zakarow, who currently has an exhibit on display at the Okotoks Art Gallery.
"It gives everybody a one-stop shop to be able to go and check out a few artists in town."
All four artists will be at Hauck's studio, located at 3 Cimarron Estates Way in Okotoks.
The four Okotoks artists will be accompanied by 80 participants in Calgary, Airdrie and Cochrane.
"You can download an app online and see the artists in all in these areas, so you can plan your trip and see where everybody's at, which I think is awesome," added Zakarow, referring to the Toureka app.
The showcase schedule is below:
Friday, May 3 from 2 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
